Man found shot dead near east Houston apartment complex, HPD says

HOUSTON ( KIAH ) — A man was found shot to death in the bushes near an apartment complex in east Houston on Monday night.

Houston police officers were called to The Park at Vittoria apartment complex at 12221 Fleming Drive after 8 p.m. Monday night and found an 18-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds in the bushes near the complex. He was declared dead at the scene by Houston Fire Department paramedics.

HPD officers responded after hearing gunshots in the area. Witnesses told police that two unknown male suspects were seen fleeing the scene on foot.

Police said that they do not yet have a motive for the shooting.
