    Man killed while walking on the Katy Freeway near Beltway, HPD says

    HOUSTON ( KIAH ) — A driver could face charges after hitting a pedestrian on I-10 Wednesday night in west Houston.

    This happened around 9:20 p.m. on the eastbound lanes of the Katy Freeway near Beltway 8.

    Witnesses told Houston police that a man intentionally walked in front of a vehicle on the interstate.

    The driver stayed on the scene and cooperated with the investigation but was detained on suspicion of DWI.

    The deceased victim has not yet been identified.
