    Driver killed in fiery wreck after hitting tree in southeast Houston, HPD says

    HOUSTON ( KIAH ) — Police are investigating a deadly, fiery crash on the southeast side of Houston.

    After the crash, firefighters worked to put out the flames.

    Houston police said the unidentified driver crashed into a tree on Clearwood Drive in the Edgebrook area around 2:20 a.m. Friday morning.

    The car was the only vehicle involved in the crash. It’s unknown right now what caused it.
