    SUV hits HPD unit in southeast Houston, nobody injured in crash

    HOUSTON ( KIAH ) — An SUV is flipped on its side after hitting a Houston police patrol unit in southeast Houston.

    This all happened around 8:45 p.m. Thursday night on Reed Road and Coffee Street.

    There was significant damage to the patrol unit. Investigators said three people were riding in the SUV that hit the police unit, including a juvenile.

    All were treated at the scene and appeared to be okay, along with the officer. There is no word yet on what charges the driver may face.

    Traffic was shut down on Reed Road as HPD investigated.
