HOUSTON (KIAH) — A 12-year-old girl battling sickle cell disease got the surprise of her life when Children’s Hospital New Orleans gifted her tickets to see Taylor Swift on the final leg of her Eras Tour.

Footage released by Children’s Hospital New Orleans shows the moment the hospital CEO and doctors presented Kelsey Farris with two tickets to the Oct. 26 show at Caesars Superdome.

“Known for her bright smile and witty dad jokes, Kelsey’s positivity lights up the clinic each day, and her artistic talents bring creativity to every visit. For Kelsey, receiving these tickets is a well-deserved moment of joy after such a challenging year, which included receiving a bone marrow transplant. Plus, she is one of Taylor Swift’s biggest fans,” the hospital wrote in a press release.

Another set of tickets went to Charlotte Gerrets, also 12, who faced a tough year with a cancer diagnosis and multiple surgeries, the hospital said.

The hospital had previously raffled off 28 suite tickets to the October 26 show, raising more than $700,000 for their new Pediatric Stem Cell Transplant Unit.
