Shock and Horror in Hicksville: Brothers Arrested After Savage Machete Attack at Local Hotel
The Eighth Squad reports the arrest of two undomiciled males for an incident that occurred on Friday, July 26, 2024 at 10:55 a.m. in Hicksville. According to Detectives, officers responded to the Days Inn, located at 828 S. Oyster Bay Road, for a disturbance. Upon police arrival, it was determined that a male victim, 43, was involved in a verbal argument with two individuals which escalated into a physical altercation. During the incident, defendant Jelony Conze, 21, used his 2005 Nissan Altima to strike the victim. Defendant Conze exited the vehicle, with a machete, and slashed the victim’s hands multiple times causing severe lacerations.

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Staten Islanders should expect at least one more bout of extreme heat this summer, according to AccuWeather senior meteorologist Tyler Roys. “This is the prime time for a heat wave to occur,” Roys said. “The average temperature expected, or the historical average that’s expected for a high for this time of year is 85 and that runs from just after July 4 all the way through into early August. Domestic violence shelters and service providers across New York State now have access to free Overdose Emergency Kits.
