Free Fun for Kids at Home Depot is Parenting Gold

    2024-04-06

The next free Home Depot Kids Workshop is happening on Saturday, April 6th, 2024. AND they happen the first Saturday of every month. Register in advance if you are able (recommended) or drop by your local Home Depot at 9 am and be ready to build something awesome with your kids! All materials are provided for the project of the month, and you should definitely take advantage of it. Here's why.

First, get all the how-to details for these workshops in Kidding Around's Guide to the FREE Home Depot Kids Workshops. It's written by parents who regularly attend the workshops and even includes a video so you'll know exactly what to expect.

Now, why spend an hour on a Saturday morning building a project your kid may just lose tomorrow anyway? It's way less about the craft and way more about the time you spend together. Take it from a mom of teens, the relationships you build now while they are little at events like this will matter big when they are older.

Then, there are all the good fine motor skills and problem-solving skills kids develop with these projects, not to mention creativity. Let them hammer those nails and spend time puzzling through the picture directions. It's so good for them!

All of that, and it's free. Folks, the world is hard. Things are expensive. An opportunity like this is rare. Enjoy it.

Of course, there are a couple of other opportunities for free projects you can do with your kids. Check out the Lowes Kids Workshops, which also happen once a month and the monthly JCPenny Kids Zone Craft events. You'll also find similar events at Michaels kids club programs, though those sometimes have a small fee.
