Lahaina fire survivor sells coconuts to rebuild his house
Koli Hafoka sells coconuts on the side of the highway. His table is lined with cut pineapple and mango in Ziploc bags and he has a trunk of coconuts, two large knives and a bundle of straws. People pull over on the side of the road to buy from Hafoka, and others honk and roll down their windows to shout their support. The Maui native’s home was destroyed in the blaze last August.
County Announces Winners of State Senior Softball Tournament
The Department of Parks & Recreation’s Elderly Activities Division announced the winners of the 48th Hawai‘i State Senior Softball Tournament. Over 1,200 players from O‘ahu, Kaua‘i, Maui and Hawai‘i Island competed at Old A’s Ballfields at Kailua Park in Kona during the three-day tournament, which featured eight different divisions.

Police release surveillance photos of suspects wanted in Kalihi city bus shooting
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The Honolulu Police Department has released new surveillance photos of two males wanted in connection to a shooting in Kalihi last Friday. Police said a 17-year-old boy was a passenger on the city bus when he was struck by a bullet fired by two males riding a moped.
