The Pittsburgh Pirates and Boston Red Sox have swapped former first-rounders. Yorke was drafted by the Red Sox with the 17th pick in the 2020 draft from high school in California. Across four minor-league seasons, Yorke has slashed .277/.359/.437 with 71 doubles, 11 triples, 48 home runs and 214 RBIs in 370 games played. The 22-year-old has been playing well since he was promoted to Triple-A Worchester in June. In 38 games with the Red Sox top minor-league...

Fun in the sun at Hampton’s latest Pints in the Park
On the heels of a series of successful 2023 events, Hampton Township launched another year of Pints in the Park this May. The weather was, to borrow a description, frightful. And besides for some youngsters having fun in the rain, it was none too delightful. Fast-forward a couple of months,...

Fittipaldo: Undrafted Rookie CB Beanie Bishop Jr. ‘Doesn’t Look Out Of Place’ At Slot Corner
When Cameron Sutton signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers during the spring practice portion of the offseason, the hope was that he would alleviate the large question the team had at slot corner, but it was back to the drawing board when Sutton was handed an eight-game suspension by the NFL for violating the personal conduct policy. Through four training camp practices, however, it looks like the Steelers may have found something with undrafted rookie CB Beanie Bishop Jr.

Brandt: Justin Fields The Buzz Lightyear To Russell Wilson’s Woody: ‘Look At Those Wings’
We might not have to wait until 2026 for Toy Story 5. Good Morning Football returned on Monday morning with a bang, and Kyle Brandt made one of the most apt comparisons I’ve ever heard when discussing the Pittsburgh Steelers’ quarterback room. Brandt compared Pittsburgh’s quarterback situation with Russell Wilson and Justin Fields to that of Buzz and Woody from the Toy Story franchise, saying that while Wilson is the old guard and has respect, Fields comes in as the shiny new object with all the impressive features. In the end, Brandt thinks that Buzz is going to beat out Woody as Mike Tomlin’s new favorite toy.

Steelers are ‘open-minded’ to Justin Fields as QB1 after training camp performance
Justin Fields was given a great opportunity by the Pittsburgh Steelers to take the first-team reps to begin training camp, and he has seemingly run with the chance. He has had several notable throws over the first four practices, including deep balls to Van Jefferson and George Pickens for scores, a nice slot fade connection to Roman Wilson, multiple connections with Calvin Austin, and several others.
George Pickens Not Worried About Being Double-Teamed: ‘Gonna Be The Same Treatment’
With the Pittsburgh Steelers trading WR Diontae Johnson and not adding another similar-caliber receiver this offseason, WR George Pickens is going to face more attention from opposing defenses. But the increase in attention isn’t a concern for Pickens. “When Diontae was here, we were both being double-teamed. So it’s...
Penguins trade candidates deep into 2024 NHL offseason
The Pittsburgh Penguins fell short of their ultimate goal of playoff hockey in 2023-24. Moves made in the offseason — such as the Erik Karlsson trade and Tristan Jarry contract extension — failed to move the needle. As a result, Pittsburgh is facing a dilemma of sorts with NHL Free Agency in the rearview mirror.
