On300 CB Jayden Sanders ready to commit this week

Kilgore (Texas) High On300 cornerback Jayden Sanders will announce his commitment on Aug. 10.

The four-star prospect tells On3 the finalists are Baylor, Michigan and Oklahoma State.

“I’m confident in my decision,” Sanders said.

The On3 Industry tabs the 6-foot-2, 175-pound Sanders as the nation’s No. 27 cornerback and No. 234 prospect overall. On3 is higher slotting him No. 21 and No. 203 respectively.

Michigan checks a lot of boxes

Sanders visited Michigan twice this summer including the Barbecue at the Big House at the end of July.

“Michigan keeps developing NFL corners with their defensive scheme and even with the coaching and staff changes, I fit the athletic profile of their corners,” Sanders explained. “They’ve proven their DB development works.”

Sherrone Moore and the Maize and Blue have On3’s No. 13 ranked class .

Oklahoma State kicked off Sanders process

Oklahoma State was first to offer Sanders back in June 2023 and he’s been to Stillwater several times including his official in April.

“At Oklahoma State Coach (Tim) Duffie and Coach (Cameron) O’Neal and I are real close,” Sanders said. “Duffie’s vision for me to be developed into a professional corner with the all-around skill I need for the league is what I want.”

The Cowboys have 16 commits to date in the class .

Don’t sleep on Baylor

Baylor offered right after Oklahoma State and like the Cowboys they’ve been a mainstay in his process. He’s no stranger to Waco.

“I have a good relationship with Coach (Kevin) Curtis and his staff,” Sanders said. “I like his vision for me as a corner in the league like him.”

Baylor has 19 commits at this point in the cycle .
