Man Arrested For DUI And Negligent Driving With Children In The Vehicle
CALIFORNIA, Md. – A troubling incident from California, Maryland, Patrick Clay Murphy Jr., 34, of Bryans Road, Maryland was arrested on July 1, 2024, on charges of driving under the influence and negligent driving. Deputy Sheriff John Gardiner of the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office responded to a distress call regarding Murphy’s erratic driving behavior with his children in the vehicle.

Glenn Youngkin (R) vetoed 13 of these, the most vetoes of election-related legislation by any governor during the period. Despite the vetoes, the 25 new laws related to elections adopted this year are the most of any state with a divided government.

LEXINGTON PARK, Md. – On July 9, 2024, Zemar D. Batts, a 19-year-old resident of Lexington Park, Maryland, was arrested by the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office for illegal possession of a firearm. The arrest followed a search and seizure warrant executed at his residence at 21380 Dayflower Place.

Pink Room Closed Due to Zoning Issue
The Pink Room is a newish cocktail bar that has been getting a ton of press lately. In the same building as Metzgers owned and operated by Brittanny Anderson who happens to be the chef and owner of Pink Room, Metzgers, Brenner Pass, and Black Lodge. Unfortunately the building’s zoning was split in half with commercial on one side and residential on the other. As a result the Pink Room has to close while they figure out how to get this changed.
