Triumph Awarded Gearbox Contract From GE Aerospace
RADNOR, Pa. - Triumph Group has announced its Geared Solutions business has been awarded a contract to provide the auxiliary gearbox from GE Aerospace for the F404 afterburning turbofan engine with potential future use on multiple applications, including the T7-A, T-50, and TAI Hurjet platforms. Triumph is a long-standing engineering and manufacturing partner with GE on military and commercial gearbox applications. This work will be performed at Triumph's facility in Macomb, Michigan.

This letter to the editor is in response to the article titled, “Lagoon site put in conservation easement,” that was published in the June 26, 2024, edition of The Voice. “That dog don’t hunt” is a dismissive phrase, used to mean that a particular idea or action is going to fail. The expression can also mean that a certain accusation/action is false.
Macomb Township voters to consider primary candidates, ballot proposals
MACOMB TOWNSHIP — In the Macomb Township Chronicle’s coverage area, voters will select candidates for various offices in federal, county and state primary elections on Aug. 6. Macomb Township residents are being asked to consider a millage to fund the township’s Fire Department, and a proposed operating millage renewal is on the ballot for voters in the Chippewa Valley Schools district.

100th Bayview Mackinac race begins Saturday
The 100th Port Huron to Mackinac race begins Saturday morning, and the race is already breaking records. With 324 sailing teams registered to start the race, race committee chairman Charlie Trost says that is the highest amount ever, surpassing a previous record of 316 boats that was set in 1985. One of the changes this year is the race course, with all boats taking the same course, retracing the original 1924 course.
