World War II history will be brought to life this weekend in Chesterfield Township. A reenactment will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at the Chesterfield Township Historical Village. The theme this year is Operation Cobra, which took place July 25 to 31, 1944, the breakout of Normandy during World War II. Hotspot reignites fire at U.S. Farathane warehouse in Port Huron
PORT HURON — Firefighters were back on scene at the U.S. Farathane warehouse Wednesday morning after a hotspot ignited another fire at the site. Port Huron Fire Department Chief Corey Nicholson had said in a news release that the fire department had suspended continuous firefighting efforts as of 10 a.m. Fire crews were called back shortly after, and the smoke was once again rising from the warehouse at 10:45 a.m. Part of Beard Street was reclosed.
