The fire at the U.S. Farathane warehouse in Port Huron is estimated to be 95% contained, according to the Port Huron Fire Department. Smoke was no longer rising from the warehouse as firefighters fought the blaze inside for a third day Tuesday, though Port Huron Fire Chief Corey Nicholson warned there may be an increase in smoke conditions as the day proceeds.

In a move that reflects the intersection of tech advancement and municipal infrastructure, Elon Musk's latest venture, xAI, is set to power up its supercomputer in the former Electrolux manufacturing facility in Southwest Memphis. This facility will utilize an impressive 150 megawatts of power at peak times to run what has been billed as the world's largest supercomputer. WREG reports that to meet this demand, Memphis Light, Gas & Water (MLGW) aims to boost a nearby electric substation's capacity to 50 megawatts by August 1, costing taxpayers a cool $760,000.
Pickerel Tournament brings crowds to Algonac
The Algonac Lions Club’s 86th annual Pickerel Tournament was “very, very successful,” Algonac Lions Club Marketing Director and Social Media Chairman Dwayne Hrynyk said. The Pickerel Tournament took place July 3 to 7 and brought activities and events for all ages, including a carnival midway and beer tent, parades, contests, entertainment, fireworks and more.
