Boulevard coming to problem area of M-53
IMLAY CITY — Michigan Department of Transportation officials attended the city commission meeting in Imlay City last week, revealing plans for a new boulevard to be built down the middle of M-53. It is expected work on the $10 million project will be done during the 2029 construction season.

New Baltimore officials are working to tackle aging, leaky roofs on city buildings, starting with the police department. City council members on July 22 approved a quote from Zimmer Roofing & Construction to replace the roof at the police station on Green Street at a cost of nearly $125,000.
