Port Huron to Mackinac Race comes to an end
Sailboats are crossing the finish line up at Mackinac Island as the 100th Bayview Mackinac Race begins to wind down. The race got off to a slow start, being delayed nearly two hours Saturday due to lack of wind on lower Lake Huron. Wind conditions changed later in the day, giving a boost to some of the larger and faster boats in the race. The first to cross the finish line was Wizard in Class A shortly after 1pm Sunday. The leader for much of the race was Maverick, who also won the Chicago to Mackinac Race, but had to withdraw due to a mast failure. As of Monday morning, much of the fleet was in a line between Mackinac Island and Rogers City. The remaining boats are expected to finish Monday afternoon.

Richmond Lions help clean aircraft displays at Selfridge museum
Nine volunteers from the Richmond Lions Club finished up their cleaning of a Korean War-era North American F-86A aircraft earlier this month at the Selfridge Military Air Museum at Selfridge Air National Guard Base.
