FEMA relocates Kanawha County disaster recovery center to St. Albans
KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WCHS) — A Federal Emergency Management Agency disaster relief center for survivors of April storms in Kanawha County will soon be relocated. The center at Tyler Mountain Volunteer Fire Department in Charleston will be closing Monday and a new location is set to open Tuesday in St. Albans, according to a news release from the agency.

Wallace Hartman Nature Preserve
Donated to the West Virginia Land Trust by Dolly Wallace Hartman, this preserve of more than 50 acres protects the forested upper watershed of Lick Branch, a minor tributary of the Kanawha River near Charleston, West Virginia, in central Kanawha County. The preserve is owned and managed by the Kanawha County Parks & Recreation but is protected from development under a conservation easement held by the West Virginia Land Trust.
