SEATTLE — A man has been arrested in connection to an apartment fire in Seattle’s Belltown neighborhood that killed two people in July. The fire broke out July 10 just after 2 a.m. in an apartment in the 100 block of Vine Street. Investigators believe the fire started in a unit on the third floor and was ignited by improperly discarded smoking materials.

I-5 fatal stabbing suspect charged in drug-fueled attack inside moving car
KING COUNTY, Wash. — The man suspected of stabbing three people inside a stolen BMW, including one fatally, on Interstate 5 in late June has been charged with murder. Jeffrey Scott faces one count of murder in the second degree for allegedly slashing the throat of Patriot Lemay, the driver of the stolen BMW. He also is charged with two counts of assault for stabbing the two other occupants of the vehicle, court documents in the case say.

Steves, who is from Edmonds, said doctors told him that his scans showed no signs of the cancer spreading, and there is a path to recovery. Driver arrested in suspected DUI crash that blocked I-5 for hours in SeaTac
SEATAC, Wash. — Northbound Interstate 5 has reopened in SeaTac after an hours-long closure following a suspected DUI crash Thursday. According to Washington State Patrol Trooper Rick Johnson, the driver of a Kia Sportage SUV struck a Toyota Tacoma from behind while driving at a high rate of speed. Both cars rolled, and the driver of the Toyota Tacoma was ejected from the car. That driver was injured in the face but is expected to be OK.
