Drugs worth $2.49 million, $46K in cash and gun recovered in Burien bust
BURIEN, Wash. — Burien police and King County Sheriff's Office deputies recovered drugs worth $2.49 million, as well as one firearm and cash, in a bust on Monday. According to police, law enforcement served a narcotics search warrant at a home "as part of an ongoing investigation into the distribution of narcotics in the city of Burien." The drug ring is responsible for distributing narcotics across King, Pierce and Snohomish counties, police said.
Asylum seekers moved out of Kent encampment into taxpayer-funded apartments
(The Center Square) – More than 90 asylum seekers who have spent the last six weeks in an encampment along Central Avenue in Kent have been moved into apartment homes. Dozens of others remain at the camp on the King County-owned property adjacent to State Route 167 and the Econo Lodge hotel.
