According to The Seattle Times, a heartbreaking incident has led to a 16-year-old boy named Derreon Johnson being charged with second-degree murder. This tragic event occurred in Skyway, King County when a 10-year-old girl, sleeping peacefully in her bedroom with her younger siblings, was struck by a stray bullet that pierced through the wall on May 23. Despite being rushed to Harborview Medical Center, the young girl could not be saved. The investigation, which included surveillance footage and evidence from the scene, connected Johnson to the shooting at the Creston Point Apartments, where 16 bullet casings were discovered. Johnson, who was already on probation for a previous gun-related offense, now faces additional charges of second-degree assault for shooting at three other individuals during the same incident.
