King County deputy involved in rollover collision in Tukwila
KING COUNTY, Wash. — A King County Sheriff's Office deputy was involved in a rollover collision Friday causing significant damage to the patrol vehicle. According to police, the collision took place around 9:23 a.m. in the 13800 block of Interurban Avenue S in Tukwila. The deputy was assigned to the Metro Transit Division.
Conflict and confusion after state suspends intake for convicted juveniles
There is concern and confusion in King County courts after a surprising decision from the state to suspend intakes of juvenile offenders at two correctional facilities due to overcrowding. Instead, youths sentenced to long-term confinement will remain under county oversight until further notice, the state Department of Children, Youth & Families (DCYF) told county officials Friday.
Metro Flex and expanded bus service arriving in Delridge and South Park
King County Metro and the City of Seattle are partners in bringing Metro Flex, the on-demand transit service, to the Delridge and South Park communities beginning July 22. Metro Flex is a neighborhood transit service that provides on-demand rides throughout the service area for the cost of a bus fare.
Assessor: Capitol Hill residential property values pop 6.5%, reversing pandemic trends
One thing is back to normal coming out of the pandemic. Seattle’s property values are on the rise again. The King County Assessor’s office says residential property values rose in “most Seattle neighborhoods” as it establishes valuations for the next year and mails out notices to homeowners.
