A King resident reported the theft of a handgun to the Stokes County Sheriff’s Office on June 14. The teal colored, 9 mm firearm was valued at $239.99.
• Two German Shepherd puppies were reported stolen on June 22 from a Lawsonville home on N.C. Highway 704. The dogs were valued at $2000.
• On June 24, Westfield resident on Apple Blossom Lane reported the theft of 30 trespassing signs valued at $300.
• A King resident of Trinity Church Road was the victim of fraud involving the theft of $8,000 in currency, according to a June 18 report.
• A Sandy Ridge resident of N.C. Highway 770 was the victim of fraud and identity theft involving the theft of $33,000 from multiple bank accounts, according to a June 18 report.
• On July 8, a Slate Road resident of King reported the larceny of a Ford scrape blade valued at $1,000.
• A breaking and entering was reported on July 11 at a Red Bank Road home in Germanton. Damage to the interior door frame was valued at $150, and a door knob reported stolen was valued at $15.
• Damage to a Southeastern Stokes Middle School concession stand was reported to the sheriff’s office on July 14. The report indicates that two concession stand windows were broken and a beverage cooler and AC window unit were damaged. The value of the damages totaled $1,100.
• Unsecured plywood was stolen from an open construction site on Mitchell Street in Walnut Cove, according to a July 15 report. The 74 stolen plywood sheets valued $1,200.

• Traci Maria Bunch, 45, of Winston-Salem, was arrested June 12 and charged with felony possession of methamphetamine and one misdemeanor count each of possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while license revoked. Bond was set at $20,000 secured with a July 17 court date.
• Patrick Laray Smith, 33, of Winston-Salem, was arrested June 14 and charged with one felony count each of possession of stolen goods / property, larceny of a motor vehicle, common law robbery and one misdemeanor count of assault on a female. There was no bond and court dates were set for June 25 and July 17.
• Dustin Craig Sutphin, 29, of King, was arrested June 17 and charged with felony possession of a firearm by a felon, felony malicious conduct by a prisoner and misdemeanor window tinting violation. He was further charged with flee to elude arrest, assault of a government official, two counts of resisting a public officer, injury to personal property and driving while license revoked. Bond was set at $125,000 with a July 17 court date.
• Cody Daniel Scott, 33, of Walnut Cove, was arrested June 18 and charged with felony attempted larceny. Bond was set at $5,000 unsecured with a July 22 court date.
• April Dennis Banks, 32, of Hamlet, was arrested June 18 and charged with felony possession of a firearm by a felon. No bond was set and a court date was scheduled for July 16.
• Tiffany Dawn Wood, 48, of Walkertown, was arrested June 27 on federal arrest warrants and charged with one felony count each of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug crime and felon in possession of a firearm. The bond amount was listed as “Federal Detainer” and no court date was listed.
• Taylor Ann Severt, 28, of King, was arrested July 3 and charged with on felony count each of possession of methamphetamine, possession of a firearm by a felon and maintaining a drug dwelling and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond was set at $75,000 secured with an Aug. 21 court date.
• Alexander Edward Goad, 29, of Pinnacle, was arrested July 8 and charged with one felony count each of forgery of endorsement, uttering forged instrument, obtain property by false pretense, possession of stolen goods and larceny. Bond was set at $30,000 with an Aug. 13 court date.
• Heather Lockmay Hargett, 36, of Randleman, was arrested July 8 and charged with a felony probation violation. Bond was set at $50,000 secured with a July 10 court date.
• Michael Lane Starbuck, 41, of Raleigh, was arrested July 10 and charged with a felony probation violation. Bond was set at $20,000 secured wtih a July 29 court date.
• Ashley Lambeth Collins, 26, of Germanton, was arrested July 12 and charged with felony food stamp fraud. Bond was set at $5,000 unsecured with an Aug. 13 court date.
• Cyler Ian Read, 24, of King, was arrested July 12 and charged with one felony count each of negligent child abuse causing serious physical injury and possession of a firearm by a felon. He was additionally charged with misdemeanor assault on a female. Bond was set at $30,000 secured with an Aug. 13 court date.
• Jordan Demon Morris, 25, of Kernersville, was arrested July 16 and charged with felony possession with intent to sell or distribute marijuana, felony maintaining a drug vehicle and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. No bond was set and a court date was scheduled for July 17.
