Lithium Battery starts Garage Fire in PV
7/22 In the past 8-days, Central Arizona Fire has responded to two residential fires caused by lithium batteries. Officials say Friday they responded to a home in the area of Alwick Way and Sutton Trail in Prescott Valley after a battery being charged for a Segway caught fire. The homeowner noticed the battery getting hot and unplugged it, but 5-minutes later heard a pop and found the garage on fire. Crews quickly doused the fire, limiting the damage. Firefighters also responded to a house fire recently in which the lithium battery on a skateboard caught fire while being charged.

Gordon said in his ruling that the court didn’t find anything legally wrong with the description of Proposition 490 and dismissed the lawsuit with prejudice.
