House Fire in Presque Isle
PRESQUE ISLE, Maine (WAGM) - The Presque Isle Fire Department responded to a house fire on 42 Dupont Drive at approximately 2 am this morning. Four occupants were residing in the home and were there during the time of the fire. According to Captain Winston Reed at the Presque Isle Fire Department, the family was alerted to the fire when their fire alarms went off. One occupant had minor injuries and was treated at AR Gould. There were no serious injuries or fatalities.

Student crashes during first flight after six years
The student pilot, who had logged about 40 hours previously, hadn’t flown in about six years. This was his first flight with the flight instructor. The Boothbay 36ers will play Quirk Motor City Riverdogs July 27 in Bangor in the 2024 Maine State American Legion baseball tournament. The 36ers (6-9) and Riverdogs (5-8) play at 4:30 p.m. at Mansfield Stadium in the eight-team tournament. The winner plays at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday. The loser plays at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
