RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - Saints of the West Rescue, located in Sparks, are home to 20 Saint Bernard dogs. They’ve been a Saint Bernard rescue for nearly 30 years. Founder, Lori Juenke, brought Lucy with her to Morning Break to share why Lucy would make a great family dog. Vallejo Police Investigate 14th Homicide of 2024 Following Late-Night Shooting
On Wednesday, at around 11:34 P.M., the Vallejo Police Department's Patrol Division responded to a shooting report near Sonoma Boulevard and Louisiana Street. Officers arrived to find an adult male with at least one gunshot wound. They provided medical assistance until paramedics arrived, but despite their efforts, the man died at the scene, according to the Vallejo Police Department.

Thousands evacuate season's biggest wildfire in northern California
A huge, fast-moving and rapidly growing wildfire in northern California has forced more than 4,000 people to evacuate as firefighters battle gusty winds and perilously dry conditions, authorities said Friday. Officials working to find new place for child molesters to be released in Stanislaus County
TURLOCK, Calif. — The Stanislaus County Sheriff's Office said Friday sexually violent predators Kevin Gray and Timothy Weathers won't be placed in a home in Turlock. A Stanislaus County Superior Court judge granted a motion to prevent them from being placed at that home. However, the sheriff's office said the release of the two men in a different location in Stanislaus County is ongoing.
