Gators & Gypsies to hold grand opening downtown on Saturday night
Downtown Statesboro can add a new entertainment place to its roster with the grand opening of Gators & Gypsies. Owned by Statesboro native Ginny Hendley, G&G is a new lounge that features arcade games, multiple lounge areas, a bar, pool tables, and more. The lounge will host its grand opening on Saturday, July 20, with doors opening at 6pm. Live music will begin at 7pm and play until 11pm. It is located at 19 E. Vine St. in downtown Statesboro. Woman’s death in Flagler Beach leads to man’s arrest in Georgia, police say
FLAGLER BEACH, Fla. – A person of interest has been arrested in Georgia following the suspicious death of a woman in Flagler Beach, according to police. The investigation began Thursday, the Flagler Beach Police Department said in a news release dated Saturday. The woman who died was identified as Sally J. Byrd, 66, who resided in the Pebble Beach Village community, the release states. Byrd’s cause of death had not yet been determined at the time of this report, police said.
