Fun Fest Store opens in Kingsport ahead of festival

KINGSPORT, Tenn. (WJHL) — People can grab their Fun Fest merchandise ahead of July’s festival beginning on Friday.

The Fun Fest Store in Kingsport opened its doors for the season on Friday. The store offers T-shirts, hats, coffee mugs, tickets and more.

Director of Fun Fest Emily Thompson said they try to switch up the colors and styles of the shirts each year.

“We always try to mix it up and this year we really got excited about all the colors,” Thompson said. “And sometimes you just can’t choose. So you’ve got lots of options, many options all the way from the youth [sizes] through adult. We got three colors in our standard T-shirt. We have a specialty tank that’s a new style this year we’re excited about.”

Thompson encourages people to come early to shop to have the best options.

“We try to run out of everything,” Thompson said. “And so we definitely encourage you to come early to have the best option. And sizes, you know, some sizes do sell out fairly quickly and our goal is to sell out all of it by the end.”

The Fun Fest Store is located in the Chamber of Commerce/Board of Education building on the first floor (400 Clinchfield Street, Suite 100).

The store is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. and will be closed on Sundays and July 4.
