Lassiter placed on SEC academic honor roll
Warren High School graduate, Maddox Lassiter has earned a spot on the 2023-2024 First-Year SEC Academic Honor Roll. The First-Year SEC Academic Honor Roll is based on grades from the 2023-24 academic calendar. Among the 1,459 SEC student-athletes, Lassiter is one of the 74 Razorbacks. This achievement is proof of Lassiter’s determination and dedication to both academics and sports, proving that both can be done well at the same time. To be considered for this honor, the student-athlete must have a grade point average of 3.00 or above for either the preceding academic year (two semesters or three quarters) or have a cumulative grade point average of 3.00 or above at the nominating institution.

Arkansas LHP Stone Hewlett signs free agent deal with Angels
Arkansas left-handed pitcher Stone Hewlett signed a free agent deal with the Los Angeles Angels on Wednesday after going undrafted in the 2024 MLB Draft. Hewlett appeared 23 times out of the bullpen for the Razorbacks as a senior after spending his first three years with the Kansas Jayhawks. The Leawood (Kan.) native posted a 1-0 record with an ERA of 3.46 across 13 innings of work while allowing six hits and eight walks with 23 strikeouts.
