Structure fire quickly put out, avoids damaging home
SHERMAN, Texas (KXII) - Quick action by first responders Tuesday afternoon keeps a garage fire from spreading to a home. It happened on Sycamore Street near Throckmorton Street around 3:30 PM. Sherman police and firefighters responded to a structure fire, within five minutes they arrived to find a garage behind a house in flames.
A new Marriott hotel is headed to Sherman
SHERMAN, Texas (KTEN) - The city of Sherman will have another space for people to settle when passing through town. A 250 room Marriott hotel will be built along U.S. 75 at the Crossroads Development in Sherman. The hotel will include a small conference center and initial estimates value the project between $30 to $40 million.

State pledges $39M in matching funds for amphitheater infrastructure
