State unemployment holds steady at historic low

Smokies walk-off Game One of doubleheader against Trash Pandas
KODAK, Tenn. (WVLT) - The Tennessee Smokies walk-off Game One on Sunday afternoon in a doubleheader against the Rocket City Trash Pandas, 7-6. In what was supposed to be a seven-inning ballgame turned into nine frames. In the bottom of the ninth, Matt Shaw knotted things up with a single out to right field, plating Josh Rivera. Then, it was a sac fly from Kevin Alcántara to center field that scored James Triantos to walk-off the game for the Smokies.

Early voting ends next week
RHEA COUNTY — Early voting in Rhea County is moving full steam ahead. In Rhea County, there have been 482 total voters so far. Of that number, 245 voters have voted in Dayton and 237 voters have voted at the Spring City location, as of press time Thursday.
