According to information from officials, Santa Cruz Police and other law enforcement agencies responded to a report of a shooting in the parking lot of the Santa Cruz Small Craft Harbor at around 8:53 PM.

"We're, playing music, having a great time. people are dancing and, you know, and then, to have something like that, our first, it's, it's it's crazy," Cleve Dayton a band at the Crows Nest said.

"We were, we played until about 10:30, and then, they told us, you know, and everyone had to go and leave the to the back of the building, and we we couldn't go into the parking lot," Dayton said. "They let us, get into our cars eventually."

Investigators were called in to the scene to begin an immediate follow-up. During their investigation, they learned that some type of altercation took place in the parking lot before the shooting. A suspect, unknown at this time, shot both victims and then fled the scene in a black Dodge Charger.

I was able to speak with a witness over the phone who explained the altercation he saw possibly involving a Hell’s Angel.

We reached out to the police department to confirm if the Hell's Angels were involved in the shooting, but they could neither confirm or deny those details.

The police did say that they still need to interview the victims.

Frequent residents in the area were shocked to hear this happened.

"A concern that people are that crazy to pull out guns and be willing to use them so easily," Dean a resident in Santa Cruz said. "Just to be able to use guns so easily and not think twice about the consequences."

The investigation is still ongoing, and a motive for the shooting hasn't been determined at this time.

    This is a developing story
