Eduarqui Fernández was the pacesetter for the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers Wednesday night at ABC Supply Stadium. Fernández stole five of Wisconsin’s ten bases and scored three runs as he walked four times in the Rattlers 7-3 win over the Beloit Sky Carp. Wisconsin had four hits but took advantage of ten walks by Beloit pitchers and a strong start from Yujanyer Herrera, who moved his record to 6-1 on the season with the win on Wednesday.

ROCKFORD — First, Sophia Walsh lost her voice as she knew it. Then, she lost her love to perform. Theater had been a constant for Walsh since age 7, but at the start of her senior year in high school she underwent throat surgery to remove a cancerous tumor. She said the voice she had trained her entire life was not the same after surgery. She lost confidence, and after high school she retreated to behind-the-scenes work.
Teen accused in multiple burglaries takes plea deal
The Beloit teen accused of burglarizing Robinson Elementary School and Community Health Services in the same night takes a plea deal in Rock County Court. Tuesday morning 19-year-old Jordan Njos plead guilty to two counts of burglary in the two separate cases. An additional charge of theft was dismissed but read into the record.
