KHP: Driver clocked traveling 104mph in 70mph zone
KHP Troopers across Kansas continue to see drivers traveling well above the posted speed limit, despite a statewide campaign to crack down on excessive speeding. On Sunday, KHP Trooper J. Davis issued a citation in Ottawa County, on U.S. 81 at milepost 178 northbound, according to a social media report from the KHP. The driver was clocked at 104 mph, far exceeding the 70 mph speed limit. For those wondering, a ticket like this totals $363 in fines.
Fire damages Lawrence senior living facility; residents safe
Lawrence-Douglas County Fire Medical first responders worked to put out a fire at Brandon Woods at Alvamar Monday afternoon.
