Wife Who Sliced Off Husband's Manhood And Flushed It Down The Toilet Is Jailed For Nearly Five Years

An extremely scorned wife has been jailed for nearly five years for slicing off her husband’s penis and flushing it down the toilet after he allegedly slept with her 15-year-old niece.
Daiane dos Santos Farias, 34, admitted to enticing and luring her husband Gilberto Nogueira de Oliveira to bed by promising kinky sex in December last year.
Contrary to her promise, after she restrained his arms and legs to the bed with her underwear and turning out the lights, Farias apparently whipped out a razor blade and began violently hacking at her husband’s manhood, prosecutors told the Atibaia Court near Sao Paulo, Brazil.
She then brought into fruition the most powerful aspect of her diabolical plan when she flushed the severed penis down the toilet. Farias reportedly executed the attack after discovering that her husband slept with her 15-year-old niece.
According to local media, Farias had walked into her local police station with her brother shortly after the December 22 attack and said: “Good evening, officer, I came to introduce myself, because I just cut off my husband’s penis.”
Farias said she’d taken a picture of the severed organ before flushing it down the toilet, and explained she had flushed it away because she ‘heard that it was possible to reattach it’.
In the literal sense of the sentiment, ‘Love conquers all’, Farias has since made up with her husband and he even paid for her legal team for the trial.
However, regardless of the ‘Kum Ba Yah’ movement that had taken place with their family dynamic; Judge Roberta Layaun Chiappeta de Moraes Barro jailed Farias for four years and five months on May 15 when she pleaded guilty to causing grievous bodily harm. The crime of bodily injury carries a sentence of between 2 and 8 years.
In Daiane's case, the aggravating factors that increased the base sentence received by the judge (2 years, 8 months and 28 days in prison) were: the cruel environment; the futile motive; and the impossibility of defending the victim. With extensions, the sentence reached 4 years, 8 months and 20 days.
The maximum sentence could have been imprisonment for eight years.
The court had heard how after hacking off her husband’s manhood she flushed it down the toilet so it could never be reattached by surgeons.
Understanding that Daiane could have been tried for attempted murder, which could carry a sentence up to 30 years. The Judge's ruling in this case was undeniably full of grace.
Farias’ lawyer Tassia Mafra told local media that she will appeal the sentence, claiming the judge had ignored that she had ‘acted under violent emotion’.
Marfra continued to state, “I will also insist on the application of the semi-open regime, as per legal provision. In any case, it was an excellent result. The penalty was fair.”
Gilberto Nogueira de Oliveira, who is now being fitted with a prosthetic penis, has accepted the gravity of accountability and blamed himself for provoking the attack, by reportedly cheating on Farias with her 15-year-old niece, "It was all my fault. I couldn't have cheated on my wife with my niece. She didn't deserve it." The age of consent in Brazil is 14.
The forgiving husband proclaimed, “Daiane is a wonderful, loving woman who loves me.”
Nogueira de Oliveira shared his side of the gruesome bedroom encounter with local media.
“It all happened very quickly," he said, explaining how he was aroused and expected sex when his wife suddenly squeezed his genitals in the dark and sliced his penis with the razor.
“Then I pushed her and I put my hand on [my penis] and it was gushing a lot of blood. I asked “why did you do that?!’’”
He tried to explained that his wife was ‘possessive’, and had recently broken his new mobile phone in a fit of jealous rage. "She said it was bad for our relationship, but I would never have imagined it could get to that point, right?", he stated trying to reason with himself.
The 39-year-old continued, “She is a person who will have a negative impact on my life forever. But as I say all the time, I have faith, first and foremost, in God, and nothing happens in life without God’s permission. As to whether I forgive her, the truth is God is the one who has to forgive, but, yes, for my part, she is forgiven.”
