Dad Forbids Daughter From Taking Pain Medication for Period Cramps
A father is coming under fire after he posted on Reddit asking if he was wrong for not allowing his daughter to have Ibuprofen for her menstrual cramps. The 40-year-old father pled his cause on the AITA (Am I The A--hole?) thread to minimal agreement. The anonymous dad explained that he shares custody of his 14-year-old daughter with his ex-wife of more than two years. When the daughter came to stay with him for his designated half of the month, she was on her period and taking Ibuprofen to tolerate the cramping she experienced.

Illinois Residents, Decline Calls From These 8 Area Codes Immediately
I don't know what it is, but my phone has been ringing off the hook nonstop with spam calls and they all come from different area codes. Has it been happening to you, too?. It's so irritating constantly declining calls all day long, especially when I've already flagged and blocked a ton of numbers from continuously re-calling. Obviously not all calls from these area codes are spam, but my phone has been super accurate in flagging those that are either spam or telemarketers trying to make a buck.
Nicole Kidman, Jamie Lee Curtis to Film Crime Series in Nashville
I recently saw an interview in which Nicole Kidman was a participant, and she was detailing her most reason project. It's a Netflix romantic comedy called A Family Affair, and Kidman says she was seeking something light after a heavy slate of dramas. After sort of LISTING those films and...

Are Old Coffee Grounds the Key to Being Mosquito Free in Illinois?

Illinois Texas Roadhouse Location Has Special Visitors Stop In
A retired couple on a unique adventure makes a stop at a Texas Roadhouse location in Illinois. Texas Roadhouse Restaurant In Illinois Is Part Of Retired Couple's Bucket List. I'll admit, I'm a fan of Texas Roadhouse. It's reasonable and reliable. Plus, my family enjoys the food. You've gotta love a place that serves you peanuts and you can throw the shells on the shore. The only problem I have is it's always busy and you have to wait to be seated.

The Best ‘Elevated Horror’ Movies
If you’ve heard people talking about horror at all in the past decade, you’ve probably heard the phrase “elevated horror.” You’ve also probably heard the endless debates about whether or not it’s a real genre, whether or not it’s fair to lump some horror movies into a different category than others, and whether elevated horror movies are actually scary, or if they’re just “weird.” But what does it actually mean for a horror movie to be considered elevated?
So. Indiana Ronald McDonald Houses Present 3rd Annual “Pappy for a Purpose” Bourbon Raffle
Any event that raises money for a worthy cause is a good fundraiser - although some fundraisers are better than others. Maybe "better" isn't the right word - some fundraisers are more unique than others. What the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Ohio Valley (RMHC) are doing right now is pretty unique and pretty amazing.
Yikes! Kentucky Now Ranks Among the Least Credit-Diligent States
Folks in some states are not doing so hot when it comes to managing their credit. Sometimes, being an adult isn't fun. Just recently, I had to have a new HVAC system installed in my house, and that certainly wasn't cheap. It was definitely one of my least favorite adult purchases. Of course, part of being an adult is managing finances, and along with that comes being diligent with your credit line, such as managing debt responsibly or monitoring your credit report for inaccuracies. Those are things I always try to keep top of mind, but for some, it's a bit more of a struggle.

Two Reasons Why Cars in Movies and TV Shows Don’t Have Headrests
Obviously movies and TV shows aren't always realistic, that's nothing new. Sometimes it's all about the action and intensity that keeps us on the edge of our seats or the comedic aspect that wouldn't work with society rules and laws of life. Then there's the production aspect and what realism...
Can You Guess Which States Have Dry Counties and Why?
More than a million-and-a-half Americans live in a dry county. That's less than 1% of our population living in more than 80 counties around the United States according to the 24/7 Wallstreet website.
