The fellow being chased looks as if he is jogging at about half speed, whereas the cop is running at a full sprint, so he eventually catches up to the man. Just when it looks like the cop has him in his grasp, the man takes a sharp right and runs off the curb toward the street. That's when the cop lunged.</p><h2>Doh!</h2><p>The lunge was a mistake.
