South Kitsap's Frei voted as Kitsap Sun's top football player for Week 3

South Kitsap junior Tommy Frei is the Kitsap Sun's Week 3 football player of the week as selected by readers of an online poll . Players are nominated by the respective coaches.

Frei rushed for 37 yards and had 89 yards receiving and two touchdowns, including one in triple overtime to help the Wolves edge Central Kitsap 36-35 as South Kitsap improved to 3-0 on the season. Frei collected 533 votes. Other nominees for the Week 3 honor were Klahowya's Carson Moore (491 votes), Central Kitsap's Timothy Sousou (332 votes) and Kingston's Kyler Hedstrom (219 votes).

The Week 4 football player of the week poll will appear online Sept. 30.
