South Kitsap's Rockafield voted as Kitsap Sun fall athlete of the week for Sept. 16-21

South Kitsap's boys tennis player Tanner Rockafield is the Kitsap Sun's fall athlete of the week for Sept. 16-21 as selected by readers of an online poll . Athletes are nominated by their respective coaches.

Rockafield, the Wolves' No. 2 tennis player, improved to 4-0 on the season with victories against Curtis and Bonney Lake. He collected 355 votes. Other nominees were North Kitsap girls soccer player Juliette Sannes (316 votes), Klahowya girls soccer player Raven Stoner (280 votes), Bainbridge swimmer Maya Geddes (168 votes), Klahowya boys tennis player Carson Langguth (69 votes) and Central Kitsap swimmer Aziza Meyer (49 votes).

The next fall athlete of the week poll will appear online Sept. 30.
