The City of Baltimore recently underscored the growth of Maryland's Medicaid Supportive Housing Waiver with a focus on the upcoming statewide expansion slated for FY 2025. BALTIMORE - The brother of murdered Maryland mom Rachel Morin spoke Tuesday at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee.Morin, a mother of five, was found raped and murdered along Harford County's Ma & Pa Trail in August 2023.Her suspected killer, Victor Martinez Hernandez, who police say was in the country illegally, was arrested in Tulsa, Oklahoma and was extradited to Maryland.The RNC on Tuesday focused on safety with a heavy emphasis on the Biden Administration and whether there's been enough security.Law enforcement says Martinez Hernandez left El Salvador in February 2023 after he was wanted for murder, six months before allegedly killing Morin."Rachel, a joyful, accomplished athlete and mother of five, was raped and murdered by a suspected illegal immigrant," said Michael Morin, Rachel Morin's brother. "My sister's death was preventable."

Four face indictments in northern West Virginia for federal firearms violations
CLARKSBURG, W.Va. — Four people have been indicted for violating federal firearms laws in northern West Virginia. According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Todd M. Houston, 35, of Morgantown, and Kayla N. Taylor, 33, of Montrose, have been charged with conspiracy to straw purchase firearms in Monongalia County. Court documents said Taylor falsified documents to purchase firearms for Houston, who is prohibited from having firearms because of prior robbery and burglary convictions in Monongalia County Circuit Court. Damson and Houston were taken into custody while attempting to sell boxes of ammunition at an area pawn shop.
