Washington Eatery Crowned The 'Best Mexican Restaurant' In The State

Mexican cuisine is one of the most popular cuisines around the country, offering dishes bursting with explosive flavor and comforting spice, so naturally there are plenty of incredible restaurants focused on dishing out the cuisine to hungry diners everywhere you look.

LoveFood searched around the U.S. to find the "best places to get your fix of Mexican and Mexican-inspired food," compiling a list of the top spot in each state based on user reviews, awards and accolades as well as first-hand experience.

According to the site, the "best Mexican restaurant" in all of Washington is Mezcaleria Oaxaca, a Seattle eatery serving up delicious Oaxacan-style cuisine for a decade. Mezcaleria Oaxaca is located at 422 E. Pine Street in Capitol Hill.

"The Dominguez family opened this popular spot in Capitol Hill in 2014, and it's been going strong ever since. As you might expect, the menu focuses on the delicious cuisine of Oaxaca, a city and region famed for its spicy dishes and rich, complex mole sauce. Customer favorites at Mexcaleria Oaxaca include the mole negro, the tlayuda (a sort of Mexican-style pizza with a tortilla base), and the cabrito (stewed goat leg)."
