Though that wasn’t the only disturbing thing investigators found in the home.A <a href="https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/23895303-negasi-zuberi-complaint">criminal complaint filed the same week</a> revealed that investigators came across multiple disturbing handwritten notes attributed to Zuberi. One note was titled “Operation take over.” It read: “Leave phone at home. Make sure they don’t have a bunch of [people] in their life. You don’t want any type of investigation.”A second note featured a hand drawn diagram that appeared to resemble a plan. “Dig a hole straight down 100 ft,” the note read. “Concrete block, Rubber Coat, Foam insulation, Waterproof Concrete,” it reads. <nbtemplate data-id="AdPlaceholder" data-content="JTdCJTdE"></nbtemplate>At the bottom of the page, the word “expand” is also written. The notes were found after the Klamath Falls <a href="https://www.the-sun.com/topic/police/">Police</a> Department obtained a search warrant for Zuberi’s home. Police were first flagged to the Oregon man’s residence after a woman allegedly escaped from the makeshift cell in the garage. On Wednesday, <a href="https://www.fbi.gov/contact-us/field-offices/portland/news/fbi-portland-seeking-additional-victims-after-woman-escaped-makeshift-cell-in-klamath-falls-oregon">the FBI said</a> that on July 15, Zuberi – also known as Sakima, Justin Hyche, and Justin Kouassi – traveled from Klamath Falls, <a href="https://www.the-sun.com/where/oregon/">Oregon</a>, to Seattle, <a href="https://www.the-sun.com/where/washington/">Washington</a>, where he solicited a sex worker and kidnapped her. At the time, Zuberi reportedly posed as an undercover <a href="https://www.the-sun.com/topic/police/">police officer,</a> pointed a taser at the victim and placed her in handcuffs and leg irons. The victim told officials that the 29-year-old then placed her in the back seat of his car, where he proceeded to <a href="https://www.the-sun.com/topic/crime/">sexually assault</a> her throughout a roughly 450 mile trip. <nbtemplate data-id="AdPlaceholder" data-content="JTdCJTdE"></nbtemplate>Once back at his home in Oregon, Zuberi reportedly locked the woman in the makeshift cell that he had constructed in his garage. Upon the search of him home, Zuberi reportedly fled and was later located in Reno, Nevada. Local police took him into custody after a brief stand off. The FBI has praised the woman’s alleged actions saying she “may have helped protect future victims.” The agency also noted that the Oregon man has been connected to “additional violent sexual assaults in at least four states and there could be more.
