‘Alison Solis’ Email Scam Resurfaces in Louisiana and Texas
Don't be fooled by this classic email scam circulating once again. I'm not proud to admit that I even questioned its legitimacy at first. It seems like every week, a new scam pops up in Louisiana and Texas. I am starting to think that scammers believe we are particularly naive because of how often we are targeted and warned of a new scam they have crafted.

Frightening news took place when according to KXAN reported that a Texas 17-year-old girl by the name of Giana Castillo allegedly attempted to prepare a shooting at an elementary school. It was reported that the 17-year-old allegedly made online threats against an Austin elementary school. Once the FBI received the information, it was quickly identified that Giana Castillo was making concerning statements online regarding the planning of an active shooter event at Graham Elementary School.

Houston rap legend Scarface, born Brad Jordan, revealed that he had been hospitalized via an Aug. 24 Instagram post that showed Jordan in a hospital bed with electrode wires across his chest and a breathing tube in his nose. Houston man pleads guilty to wire fraud, faces up to 20 years in prison
HOUSTON, Texas — A 39-year-old Houston man has pleaded guilty to wire fraud, announced U.S. Attorney Alamdar S. Hamdani. Brett Michael Detamore, operating as a custom home builder under Detamore Development LLC, fraudulently obtained at least $1.5 million for his personal use by misusing funds intended for the construction of private residences. Detamore submitted false and fraudulent invoices to banks holding construction loans for single-family residences he had been contracted to build. The false invoices caused the banks to send funds to bank accounts Detamore controlled, which he then used for his personal benefit.
