WELSH, La. ( KLFY ) — Drivers heading west on I-10 wishing to go into Welsh will need to take a different route this week.

According to the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development , the offramp from westbound I-10 to La. 99 in Welsh will be closed this week, starting today.

The ramp closure is necessary for asphalt overlay, DOTD said.

The posted detour is La. 395 (Roanoke exit) to US-90, then into Welsh. Work is expected to be completed by the end of the week.
