    Former Gator Cove property in Lafayette for sale for $1.5 million

    LAFAYETTE, La. ( KLFY ) — The property that once contained the famous Gator Cove seafood restaurant in Lafayette is for sale.

    The 1.34-acre, unzoned property at 2601 SE Evangeline Thruway is being listed for $1.5 million according to Brad Gaubert of Keaty Real Estate .

    The property features a functioning event center with an inviting outdoor courtyard suitable for
    hosting gatherings, according to the listing.

    “Imagine the possibilities of transforming the separate building onsite into a restaurant, bar, boil house, or all three, creating a vibrant Cajun cultural mecca,” the listing reads. “As a current stop on the Cajun bus food tour, you’ll attract customers who will linger for hours, immersing themselves in the rich local heritage. The distillery is currently utilizing the front building, front storage building and a small office building.
