The rainfall from yesterday has lead to a slightly cooler start in Acadiana this Friday morning with temperatures in the mid 70s. Patchy fog is possible too. Highs still reach above average as we near 97° with a heat index hotter than 110° in parts of the area. Isolated showers and storms return for the afternoon but rain chances will run a little lower at 30%.

The dangerous heat and humidity will continue through the weekend with isolated rain chances each afternoon.
