    West Monroe bakery temporarily closed after narcotics investigation

    UPDATE (08/29/2024): As of Thursday, August 29, 2024, Crumbl Cookies’s West Monroe location is temporarily closed. The closure took place after a customer claimed the bakery allegedly sold cookies that were laced with marijuana. The allegations were posted on Facebook and the customer has since removed the viral post.

    Authorities confirmed that the allegations were under investigation and no further information has been released.


    WEST MONROE, La. ( KTVE/KARD ) — According to Captain Doug Schmitz of the Metro Narcotics Team, officials are investigating a claim after a social media post about cookies being laced with marijuana at Crumbl Cookie went viral. The post has since been removed from Facebook.

    KTVE/KARD reached out to Crumbl Cookie. At this time they do not have a comment. This is an open investigation, and no additional information is available at this time.
