Arrest warrants were obtained for Sinegal and Duhon. Officials said Sinegal’s criminal history reflected a pattern of violent crimes, so the U.S. Marshals Service was contacted to assist, according to VPSO.

Sinegal remains incarcerated at the Vermilion Parish Correctional Center on a charge of attempted second-degree murder with a bond of $300,000.
