    Officer hospitalized after Franklin high-speed chase Saturday

    FRANKLIN, La. ( KLFY ) — A high-speed chase in Franklin early Saturday morning put a police officer in the hospital, authorities said.

    The Franklin Police Department said a high-speed chase began around 1 a.m. Saturday morning resulted in an unnamed officer being injured, and taken to a hospital in critical condition. His condition was later upgraded to stable.

    Dejhon Parker, 27, is charged with the following:

    • Resisting an officer
    • Aggravated obstruction of highway and commerce
    • Aggravated flight from officer
    • Resisting police with violence
    • Aggravated criminal damage to property
    • 10 counts of Schedule I drugs
    • Reckless driving
    • Driving while intoxicated
    • Speeding
    • Four turn signal violations
    • 3 stop signs violations

    Bond details were not released.
