    Food, water, tarps to be distributed in Morgan City today

    MORGAN CITY, La. ( KLFY ) — Those hardest hit by Hurricane Francine in Morgan City will get a little help today.

    Morgan City Police have announced that the Morgan City Auditorium will turn into a distribution center for food, water and tarps.

    Distribution at the auditorium, located at 728 Myrtle St., will begin at noon Friday, according to a post on the MCPD website .

    “Water, Tarps, and Meals Ready to Eat will be distributed which is coordinated by the Louisiana National Guard,” police said. “Please pay attention to the National Guard’s instructions as they are coordinating the traffic control and distribution.”
