Foggy mornings possible, warm with isolated showers possible each day

We’re seeing dense fog out there this morning with visibilities below a quarter-mile and most likely near zero in rural areas. This fog will burn off by mid-morning, giving us partly cloudy skies later this afternoon. Temperatures will rise into the lower 90s, but humidity will be low as we’ll continue to see northwesterly winds.

As the remnants of Francine work south and open up into an upper-level trough, we’ll see some atmospheric lift across the area. Moisture is limited, so widespread rain chances not expected, but a few isolated showers could be possible during the afternoon hours of the next few days. Rain chances will be in the 10-20% range each day through Wednesday. Thereafter, a ridge of high pressure will build, giving us beautiful weather Thursday and Friday.

Highs will be in the upper 80s to lower 90s each afternoon with no strong fronts in the forecast.

Tropical Storm Gordon has developed in the eastern Atlantic. The good news is Gordon should stay an Atlantic system and remain weak.
